Did you miss me? Because I miss you all!! Three weeks ago, I was hired at a restaurant near my school, and I was undergoing training. Thus, I never had the time to log on to Second Life, but now that I have the day off…I’m back!!
Sailor Moon was a big part of my life. It was the first show that introduced me to anime, my love for cosplaying and helped me make friends when I was a younger. When my roomie told me about the Crystal Heart Fair, I immediately teleported to the event! The items and clothes brought back some fond memories from my past, that I decided to dress my avatar as the pretty guardian of love and justice!
SaNaRae closes their doors on June 18! I’ve been so busy lately, that I almost forgot to stop by the event. Today, my avatar is sporting imbue’s spring top and belted skirt. It is available at SaNaRae for 285L$ each, or 2500L$ for the fatpack. The item comes in sizes for Maitreya and Slink’s hourglass body. You can also change the colour of the belt with a HUD. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and if you excuse me…going to do some more shopping!!
I’m glad the sun is out…unlike the other day. Recently, I’ve been watching a show called, Mulawin vs. Ravena. It’s a Filipino fantasy series about avian creatures at war with each other. There are other subplots in the show, but that would take awhile to explain (lol). Today, I dressed my avatar as a Mulawin, they are the benevolent avians in the series and would defend humans from the wrath of the Ravenas.
Yesterday, a friend and I went to the movies and while were walking to the theatre it started to rain. At first it wasn’t so bad, just a drizzle, but as we walked a coupled more blocks it…turned into a shower! Despite shielding ourselves with an umbrella, we still got soaked (Damn you wind!). When I’m indoors, I love the rain, but if I’m outside– I hate it!! My hair will get all frizzy, and if you’re using public transit, some individuals would shake their drenched umbrella and the water would go all over you!!
As soon as my friend and I reached the theatre, we bought our tickets to Wonder Woman, got a seat off to the side, and removed our shoes. Why? Because they got water in them. Don’t worry, we didn’t place our feet on the seat in front of us, we sat in Buddha pose for the entire movie. Haha! Unfortunately, when the film ended it started to rain again, and we had to walk to the subway.
What kind of weather do you hate?
I was a very athletic person. In elementary school I was on the volleyball team. In high school I participated in ultimate frisbee, and exercised daily. By the time I reached university…everything changed. It was getting more difficult to schedule a time to workout. I was more focus with my studies, that I wasn’t motivated to become physically active.
It wasn’t until after my second year I noticed something concerning. I was always out of breath after walking a couple blocks, developed some unhealthy habits (*cough* junk food *cough*), and becoming unhappy with my image. I was so uncomfortable with my appearance, that I avoided meeting up with old friends and attending a couple of social events.
For the past month, I’ve been doing pilates and going on morning runs with a friend. I’ve been consuming less junk food and eating more healthy. It’s going to be difficult to maintain an exercise routine and a good diet, but I know I can do it!
